This one was my mom’s request, because she wanted something simple to serve with chocolate and strawberry ice cream.
Mix the butter and the sugar.
Then add the eggs. In a different bowl, mix the flour, the baking powder and the salt. Add alternating with the milk and vanilla. Stir well.
Set to bake!
1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp. butter
1 cup and 3/4 sugar
2 eggs
3 1/4 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 cup milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Mix the butter with the sugar, add the eggs one by one. Set aside, tehn mix the flour with the salt and baking powder in another bowl. Prepare the milk and vanilla extract. Add to the butter mixture, alternating with the flour mixture until well incorporated. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 F. for 40-50 minutes.
