Chocolate Chip Dulce de Leche Monster Cookies

Who’s up for huge, delicious morsels? Well, ready or not, here we go!

The recipe is a regular chocolate chip cookie with a bonus of dulce de leche

Mix butter, sugar. Add the vanilla (I didn’t have ‘nilla, so I used coconut extract) and egg yolk.

In another bowl mix the flour, salt and baking powder. Add to the butter mixture, then stir in the chocolate chips.

Make 12 balls of dough and flatten them on the prepared sheet. Add a dollop of dulce de leche in the center and crimp the edges of the dough around it. Bake!

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • dulce de leche

Preheat oven to 375 F. Mix butter and sugar, add vanilla and egg yolk. Blend well. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt and add to the butter mixture. Add chocolate chips.

Form 12 balls of dough and flatten them on prepared baking pan. Spoon as much dulce de leche as you like and then pinch the edges shut.

Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Oh my gosh, a cookie stuffed with delicious dulce de leche, yum. You’ve hit upon a fantastic idea and they look like they turned out great. I have a sweet treat linky party on my blog called “Sweets for a Saturday” and I’d like to invite you to stop by this weekend and link your cookies up.
